Big Bang Theory

Picture
As this picture illustrates the Big Bang was a rapid expansion of the universe.
The big bang, contrary to popular belief, was not an explosion. It was instead a rapid expansion of space and time. This event is the best representative of how the universe may have formed based upon a considerable amount of data. In the course of nano seconds, all the matter and anti-matter that we can and can not see was created.

Evidence and Theory Origin

In the 1910s, Vesto Slipher and later Carl Wilhelm Wrtz both noticed in there observations that stars and planetary nebulae are moving away from us.
Georges Lemaitre proposed what became known as the big bang theory, he called it the "Hypothesis of the primeval atom" This was based upon the framework of Albert Einstein's general relativity.

First key idea dates to 1916 with Albert Einstein's General Relativity

In 1929 Edward Hubble found that the distances to far away galaxies were usually equivalent  to their red light shift.

The Doppler affect-Shift from lower energy to higher energy as something passes by.
Scientist noticed that object receding had a red light shift and that objects approaching have a blue light shift.
Based on this and many other supporting facts, scientist have concluded that by tracing every things path of movement, every thing that is existence began from one point.
